First I have to say it's very exciting doing an oversized cargo job thanks to the interactive elements. Second is the issues I have. You can't drive at a fast speed, the saftey car won't allow it. So you get tired. And sleepy. And then you get fined. You loose your income for this job because you have to pay for the fine (if you have economy overhawl mod) which is is suppose to add realism to
Cab and Sleeper Features. As we near the release of the 12th truck for American Truck Sim (the Western Star 57X) with a sleeper, it would be nice to see some features to put all of the effort done by the modeling team to work. Here are some ideas that could make sleepers and cab interiors improve in game. So far, every truck in the game has a It is not set as an exhaustion meter ;) It is set after resting time rules in RL, but it is not fully implemented. There are some more regulations there that are not in the game. Actually it seems it does act as a 'meter'. If I travel on the train through the Euro Tunnel it reduces the 'meter' by the time it takes to travel.Does a mod exist that allows me to park and sleep anywhere I want? Like I’d like to be able to park at a shipper or delivery and sleep if I’m out of hours or it’s an unreasonable time to unload I.e. unloading hay at 3 am. I’m tired of having to stop early because I can’t make a farther sleep trigger because I’ll run out of hours.
Viewed 20k times. 20. It seems that rest is by default 8 hours. I pull into the spot and pull out 8 hours later well-rested. The issue, sometimes, is that waiting 8 hours is going to make your cargo late. I could rest for 4 hours, however, and still make the delivery on time.To create such a mod, the whole map would need to be re-edited, with lots of rest triggers added and the existing ones extended. Then again, someone with actual map editor experience can correct me if I'm wrong. Ex-ProMods tester and ex-Moderator. Translator of the official ETS2 + ATS Hungarian localizations.
9 hours. You also get fully rested on ferry rides that take at least that long, and partially rested on shorter ones. There is one difference between sleeping and taking a ferry. Sleep takes nine hours in game time and resets your driving time to 11 hours whatever it was before you slept. Taking a ferry/train adds as many minutes to your
The way I try to work around this is to take primarily External jobs and to double sleep every second day. Just as an example, wake at 10:30, drive until 21:00, sleep until 06:00, drive until 16:30, sleep until 01:30 and then again to 10:30, rinse and repeat. Now it is an inexact science because the rest stops don't appear at exactly the right intervals, but there is an hour of slack across
