The 6X is closest in size to the Suunto 9. The straps on the Fenix 6 are hinged instead of solid rubber, wich make for a more snug fit around your wrist. This means it’s able to get a good heart rate reading while you’re wearing your watch like a normal human being. Winner: Fenix 6. The Suunto 9 is significantly bulkier than the Fenix 6 Screen
At this juncture I would be a bit considered with the Fenix 7 series, whatever it turns out to be. I've read that the launch delay is related to the global chip shortage, and while I absolutely feel the 6X is a stellar buy, unless you're truly in immediate need I would hold out for a bit longer and see what a series 7 release looks like.
Probably not. 6 has newer software, faster, updated, longer battery, will probably be supported longer, etc. I believe most of the functions specific to the the Tactix line like tactical, jumpmaster, etc can now be had on the 5x plus and 6 anyway. One thing I do like about the Charlie that the others don’t have though is the style.
